His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and chair of the board of directors of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), unveiled EXOBOT, the flagship electric vehicle (EV) from Ceer, Saudi Arabia’s (the Kingdom’s) national automotive company, during a launch in Riyadh on September 21, 2026. The debut is part of Saudi Arabia’s push to build an advanced industrial sector aligned with Vision 2030 and to strengthen its position in the global automotive industry.

“The launch of Ceer’s first vehicles represents another step forward in Saudi Arabia’s progression to build a sustainable and prosperous industrial ecosystem,” the Crown Prince said. “It further enables the automotive sector as a key driver of economic growth, through attracting investments, empowering national talent, and expanding the private sector’s role to further position Saudi Arabia to become a leading regional and global hub for this industry.”

The EXOBOT sedan and SUV are the first of a planned seven-model lineup Ceer intends to launch over the next five years, including midsize and compact vehicles with a range of propulsion options to serve different customer needs. The vehicles will be manufactured at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex (CMC), which Ceer says will be the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East. Ceer said the EXOBOT sedan and SUV feature a design inspired by Saudi Arabia’s landscape and rooted in its culture, and that the vehicles were designed, engineered, and manufactured locally.

Ceer has also detailed additional specifications for the EXOBOT lineup. The SUV pairs a 112-kWh battery with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system producing 850 horsepower (634 kW), reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 2.6 seconds and covering up to 348 miles (560 km) on a single charge. The sedan shares the same power output and acceleration figures with a rated range of up to 416 miles (670 km). Both models are built on an 800-volt architecture that Ceer says can take a battery from 10% to 80% charge in 30 minutes. Ceer has not announced pricing or availability dates for either vehicle, which will be offered in Limited Launch Edition and Plus trims.

By 2034, Ceer is projected to contribute US$8 billion to Saudi Arabia’s GDP and US$21 billion to the Kingdom’s trade balance, while creating quality direct and indirect jobs, according to PIF.

The announcement supports PIF’s broader effort to build an integrated and competitive local automotive ecosystem as part of its mandate to help diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy. PIF launched Ceer in 2022 as Saudi Arabia’s first vehicle brand, aiming to develop the national industrial ecosystem, attract investment, create private-sector opportunities, and grow the Kingdom’s GDP.
